Imm cologne 2012: key facts on the trade fair, city and events for journalists
10/01/2012 - From 16th to 22nd January 2012, the international interior design fair imm cologne will be opening its doors between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily. And Cologne will once again become the focal point of the worldwide furniture sector.
In order to help with your preparations and ensure your visit to the fair is a success, we have compiled all the important facts and some helpful links about the imm cologne.
You can obtain accreditation on the spot at the Press Centre North and at the east and south entrances.
During the trade fair events, numerous services are available to provide accredited journalists with support for their work and ensure rapid, efficient communication.

In addition, wherever you are in the world, Koelnmesse’s press box service provides you with press materials from exhibitors (press releases, new product launches, photos, videos etc.) before, during and after the trade fair. All the information is available online 24 hours a day. All the exhibitors’ press information is also available to members of the media at the exhibition centre’s Press Centre and can be collected at any time.

What better way to end a tiring day at the fair than over a beer with colleagues in the pleasant atmosphere of Koelnmesse’s new brewery bar, the KÖLSCHBAR. At the KÖLSCHBAR, guests can enjoy little regional specialities together with the fruits of Cologne’s brewing tradition.
Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre is located in the district of Deutz on the right-hand side of the Rhine, near the A4 motorway.

Whether you’re coming by car, train or plane, whether you want to end a tiring day at the fair in a hotel, an apartment or a suitable restaurant - you’ll find all the important information about travelling to Cologne and your stay in the trade fair city here.
By car: 10 motorways lead to the orbital motorway around Cologne, which will take you straight to the Exhibition Centre without a single crossing or traffic light. Just follow the green signs for “Koelnmesse”. There are approx. 14,500 parking spaces around the exhibition centre. Free shuttle buses will bring you from the car park to the entrances.
By plane/train: From the airport, you can get to the Exhibition Centre quickly by taking the underground. There are also direct connections from the Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels airports via the ICE high speed rail network. ICE trains, regional trains and the suburban trains of the S-Bahn network provide a regular service to and from the airport station, providing a convenient direct connection with the Köln Messe/Deutz station that serves the Exhibition Centre.
