Inspired by functionalism and Scandinavian design, interior designers Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm devoted themselves to optimising shape, material and ergonomics. In 1961, they founded a studio together and their partnership ran from 1961-1970. Their exclusive pieces of furniture, manufactured by BoEx, are placed all over the world - in 120 airports, in the Louvre, Paris and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Some of the most re-known pieces include: Scimitar Chair 1963 (relaunched 2003); Bo562 sofa & chair 1963; Stool 1963; Scimitar Table 1964; Sculpture Chair 1964; Daybed 1965. The FK bucket seat symbolises classical design, and is as timeless as it is modern. The chair won the very first German prize for "Good Shape" ("Gute Form") in 1969.
