Dany Vescovi was born in 1969 in Milan, the city where he currently lives and works. For several years Vescovi pursues and continues a floral theme that has become a personal standard, Today’s images become more complex and interweave the visual tradition of flowers with unexpected interruptions, depicting new and very strange spaces as if thrown away and rendered vacant in the urgency of a communication blackout. The artist combines figurative painting and geometric abstraction with photographic precision, in compositions with a strong dynamism, creating a harmonious union, supported by the strength of saturated colour and a rigourous composition. The floral image seems to break down and then perpetually recompose itself in the vertical partitions of the painting, as if they were frames in rapid sequence. On the canvas he creates a visual short-circuit through constant interference, a transformation of figurative images in fragmented abstract shapes and volumes.
