Profilo di Piero Russi

Having graduated in Architecture in 1983 from the University of Florence, he began his collaboration the following year with the studio of architect Gae Aulenti, where he spent over a decade looking after the design and realisation of important architectural works, including: the Palazzo Grassi museum in Venice, the auditorium, library and students’ residence in Biella’s Città degli Studi, and the Temporary Exhibitions Gallery at the Milan Triennale.
In 1997, he opened his own architecture and industrial design studio in Milan, working for companies and private individuals. He has had a longstanding partnership with FontanaArte, designing the company’s showrooms and stands for events and trade fairs for over ten years. He also designed Chignon, the series of lamps for FontanaArte, between 2009 and 2010.
